Here’s what they are saying about the Iowa Hawkeyes  football team on Monday, Oct. 21:

Mike Hardy is listed as the starting right defensive end on Iowa’s football depth chart released today, replacing Dominic Alvis.

Alvis, a senior, injured his back in the first half of last week’s 34-24 loss at Ohio State. The Hawkeyes host Northwestern at 11 a.m. Saturday in Kinnick Stadium.

University of Iowa defensive back Desmond King was named Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week for his play in Iowa’s 34-24 loss at Ohio  State. In addition, sophomore tight end Jake Duzey earned honorable mention tight end of the week recognition from the College Football Performance Awards.
