It’s kickoff in Columbus, Ohio! It’s Big 10 football weather for sure. The skies are cloudy but will the sun shine on the Hawks today? The Iowa Hawkeyes are looking to break the 18-game winning streak of the Ohio State Buckeyes (6-0), Ok, we could get cute and say the only way to beat Ohio State is to outscore them, but there really are a number of things Iowa needs to do in order to have a chance to win. None of them are easy, especially because the Buckeyes are 18-0 under Urban Meyer. Can the Hawkeyes do them? No team could probably do everything against the talent assembled in Columbus, but the Hawkeyes (4-2) must play an all-around good game in order to stand a chance. Braxton Miller is back for OSU at quarterback and is a dual threat to run and pass. Iowa needs to run the ball and get some turnovers in order to generate points and keep OSU’s offense off the field. Big plays on offense, timely turnover and some stout defense is the formula for success. Iowa has won at the Horseshoe in the past, two times since 2004 as a mater of fact. Can they make it three? Iowa needs to win the battle up front in what should be a very physical game. Iowa has won the toss and take the football to start the game. A score on the first drive would sure help the cause. Enjoy the game and don’t forget to share your comments during the game below.
